All of your Mapping in One Place
We recently spoke with a library located in Colorado that completed the setup of all four products (Collection Mapping, Explore, Computer Availability Mapping & Room Mapping) available in the StackMap suite. We had the chance to speak with their Library Systems Administrator and their Manager of IT Infrastructure about their experience with StackMap and how it has significantly improved their space.
We opted to get all four StackMap products because we wanted to elevate all aspects of our library. We wanted to have something displayed on our kiosks, and Explore has been really popular among patrons, helping them easily navigate the library. Room Mapping has been incredibly helpful in showing the exact location of meeting rooms, study rooms, and privacy booths. Computer Availability was something we wanted to provide patrons with the most up-to-date information on computer usage. The integration processes were very easy and straightforward, from Bibliocommons for Collection Mapping to LibCal for the Room Reservation tool. There was not much customization or configuration required on our end, which was great. We didn’t expect to be able to enhance the space in such major ways with such ease.
It feels like magic. The setup process began quickly and was so straightforward. Now we can just go into the Dashboard and make all the updates we want for all products. We've heard from patrons using Collection Mapping that they have had a lot of success finding what they need much faster. It has also helped us ensure that items are in the right place, as staff members have been able to address issues like organizing items in a collection properly, which has been an added bonus. We've seen a lot of success with all of StackMap’s products!
This is one of many customers who have seen the numerous benefits of the entire StackMap suite. Explore has helped ease navigation, Room Mapping has facilitated painless wayfinding to reserved rooms, Computer Availability has provided the most up-to-date information on computer usage, and Collection Mapping has enhanced both the patron experience and the staff’s ability to better organize the space. Together, these tools are enhancing the library experience for their patrons, ensuring efficiency and accessibility along the way.
